He is a Strategy Consultant and Company Director.  His previous roles include being Chief Executive and director of a public listed company, Chief Executive of a large New Zealand law firm, Chairman of not for profit music trust, Play It Strange Trust, Chairman for the Young Enterprise Trust, and Member of the Business Advisory Panel to the Auckland Council.

He is Chairman of department store Smith and Caughey Ltd. and Chairman of Northern Leading Ltd. - strategy consultants.

Kenichi Nagai acts as an adviser for various companies.  His past experiences include the following:

  • Managing Director, K.K. DKSH Japan

  • Vice President, Global Food & Beverage Industry, DKSH Co. Ltd.

Ken worked with DKSH since 1980 initially to develop new businesses and new suppliers for medical, chemical, cosmetic and food products, and subsequently assumed responsibility for the Global Food & Beverage Industry division.  DKSH operated in 35 countries through a coordinated network of 440 business locations across Asia and another 15 in Europe and the Americas.  He was an adviser for Japan Beachheads Advisory Board, New Zealand Trade & Enterprise.
